Tongan Language Week | Counting up to Ten

I completed the tongan language week activity.

First we had to decide if we were going to  count to 10 in Tongan, greetings in tongan, sing happy birthday in tongan , maths word, the national anthem or a recipe.

I chose counting up to 10 in tongan. There is a video below counting up to 10 in tongan. The slideshow shows all the numbers and translation.

This task was easy tongan is my language.

  1. Sai 'aupito Fotu I really appreciate you including audio with your presentation it helped me to understand how to pronounce the Tongan word for 10. How many of the numbers are similar to the numbers in Maori? I look forward to seeing what else you are able to create for Tongan language week, malo.

    1. Malo e lelei Whaea Petra. Umm... none of the numbers are similar to maori numbers but all the numbers in tongan are similar to eachother. For example: to say 11 you just say 1 in tongan 2 times- taha taha.

      Malo aupito Stay safe
