We used place value to figure out a maths equation. The equation was Leilani has already practised for 24 minutes, 26 minutes and 17 minutes.
We first started with the ones. For example: 4 + 6 + 7=?? 10 + 7 = 17.
Them, we did the tens. For example: 20 + 20 + 10 = 50.
Afterwards, we combined the two answers. 50 + 17 = 67.
Lastly, we answered the story problem . For example: Leilani has practise 67 minutes so far.
This was hard because I didn't understand the equation but people's examples helped me.
