SSR Selfie

 I read a non-fiction book by Raymond Huber 

The main topic is about Earth system. 

The Earth acts as a giant magnet because there is a metal core in the centre of the Earth. Why is it cold in winter and hot in summer? Because the planet Earth is not sitting straight in space, it is on a tilt. The part of earth that is leaning towards the has more daylight hours and warmer temperatures.The earth beneath you feet is spinning around in space at a speed of about 30 km per second. Luckily, the force of gravity keeps you from getting dizzy.

I enjoyed reading this book because I learnt more information about the solar system.

Comment Thread

I completed a task called comment thread. Comment thread is making conversaion with the person's blog comment. 

One of my teachers commented on my blog post called SSR Selfie. In a comment thread you should always have a greeting, a complament of their work and a nice open question to keep the conversation going.

Handwriting

  I completed a can-do activity called hand writing. 

I first watched a video on what to do. I then wrote the alphabet in capital letters and lower case letters. 

After that I wrote the punctuation and my numbers. 

I need to practise on the D because when I draw it I always draw it like a B. 

Basic Facts Boxes

 I completed multiplication speed demon challenge. 

My score was 90/90 and my time was 3 minutes and 44 seconds. 

Next time I do this task I will do multiplication and division.

Thursday Workout

  I did the Thurday workout. The workouts were: runing n the spot, wall sits, burpee, and squats. 

The first work out I did was running on the spot. Runing on the Spot is staying in a spot and running as fast as you can. 

The next workout I did was wall sits.Wall sits is pretending siting in a chair but using the wall. 

Then I did Squats Sqauts is like bending down like your on the toliet..

The last workout I did was burpees. Burpees is going into a pressup then pushing up with a jump. 

I enjoyed these workouts because I didn't feel like I was going to collapse on my wall sits. 

Fact Find | Russell Westbroke

 I did a fact find about Russell Westbrook. 

I first went onto websites about Russell Westbrook. Then looked for facts about Russell. 

I leant that Russell was an MVP in the 2016 season, and he has been on three teams. 

Russell also won a golden medal in the men's basketball olympics. 

I enjoyend learning about Russell Westbrook because of how he uses teamwork during his games.
