Fun facts about Newzealand

There are no snakes in the country!

New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.

It is one of the three countries in the world that has two official national anthems of equal standing.  The first is God Save the Queen and the other is God Defend New Zealand.

  1. Hi Fotu,

My name is Lee and I am one of the Summer Learning Journey blog commentors. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's writing this summer!
Thankyou for starting off the activities so well. I like how you have chosen the fact about there being no snakes in New Zealand. I for one am really greatful that we don't have any although I have been to countries that have snakes. Luckily - I have never seen any, but I did see a Mongoose in Sri Lanka - which some people say means a snake was nearby.
What do you think it would be like being part of Australia? Would there be advantages and disadvantages?
Keep up the good work, talk to you soon,
    - Lee

  2. Hi Fotu!
Congrats on completing the first activity of the SLJ. You are doing an amazing job. Out of the three facts that you wrote down, which one is your favourite? My favourite one was the 1st one on your blog.
    Blog you later!
    Florence
